POTTERY MUG MAKING - HAND SCULPT ONLY

Everyone wants a personalized mug, so why not make your own?

Join me in a pottery mug making session where you will hand sculpt a pottery mug or pint cup using textures, designs, and stamps that I offer. Note that this session does not include using the pottery wheel.

This workshop is perfect for someone who likes to sculpt and hand mold clay. We will be learning coil and joinery techniques, shaping handles for mugs, and more. For those who find pottery wheel spinning challenging, I encourage you to join this session and discover other techniques of making pottery. This session is also more ergonomic friendly for those who have hip and back aches. 

After you've made your creation, I will help you trim and glaze (color) the project.  Your work will then be fired in the kiln twice with food safe glazes and will be ready for pick up approximately four weeks after.

Tax is included.

 DETAILS:

- approx. 1 1/4 lbs of clay (500 grams) provided

- one on one instruction

- clay, tools, instruction, kiln firing service provided

- one 90 minutes session

- participant gets to keep one item

 - dress for the mess or bring an apron

TEXTURES AND DECORATIONS:

I have many textures and pattern rollers, including: flamingoes, dogs, cats, alpacas, monstera leaf, hummingbirds, forest and trees, geometric patterns, flowers, sunflower, and more.

- home garage studio near Woodward Hills Elementary (142 st / 61 ave in Surrey)

- handwashing facility available

- please note there are no public bathrooms, sorry (there's a mall five minutes away)
