Share a little time at the pottery wheel with a friend, partner or family member. Join me for a private, beginner-friendly workshop where you’ll both try shaping clay, with guidance along the way. No experience is needed.

What you’ll make

You’ll take turns on one pottery wheel, learning to shape a small bowl or cup. I’ll guide each of you through the process, and you’ll each choose one piece to keep. Both participants attend the same session.

What’s included

Individual guidance for each participant
Two portions of clay, plus tools and materials
Trimming, food-safe glazing and two kiln firings after your visit
One finished pottery piece per person

The listed price covers two people. Planning for more than four people? Inquire about a private group workshop.

Your finished pottery

I’ll finish, glaze and fire your pieces after the workshop. They are usually ready for pickup approximately four weeks later. Your pottery cannot be taken home on the day; we’ll arrange collection once it’s ready.

Your studio visit

Private home garage studio in Surrey, BC, near Woodward Hills Elementary and Highway 10 / King George Boulevard. The address is shared when your booking is confirmed.
Workshops are offered mostly on weekends, with some weekday evenings available. Please inquire about specific dates and times. Visits are by appointment.
A handwashing facility is available. There is no public washroom on site, so please plan ahead.
Wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting clay on, bring an apron if you have one, and tie back long hair.
